Aims & Objectives

Aims:

The aim of the Department is to develop students' knowledge and skills in agricultural engineering by giving professional and academic training in the broad areas of Mechanization and Farm machinery, Soil and Water Engineering, Post- harvest technology, Farm Structures and Rural Engineering.

Objectives:

The objectives of Agricultural Engineering courses are that at the end of the programme, the students should be able to apply their knowledge of the fundamental concepts and principles in agriculture and engineering to the benefit of the nation and then relate these concepts to plant and animal machinery, to assure quality assurance in the practice of agriculture.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Department is to promote teaching, research and extension as pertains to Agricultural Engineering and Technology for the well being Ghanaians and the world at large.
